OUR HISTORY

About Me

I'm George Jacob III, owner and operator of George Jacob III Auctioneering. We are located in Barto, PA. While Growing up on a dairy farm in East Greenville, PA, I milked cows, farmed the fields, and went to auctions in the area. In 1999 I decided to go to Reading Area Community College for Auctioneering. While in this class I put my practicum time in working with Frey Auctioneers of Douglassville, PA. After completing the course, I passed the auctioneer license test on the first try.

About Our Family

It took me some time to get my business established, but now the family run business is doing well. My wonderful wife Brenda helps me run the business. We have 2 sons, Tyler & Travis, that hopefully when they're older will also show interest in auctioneering. With a staff of family and friends the auction always runs smooth.

About Our Business

We enjoy the auction business and have many great memories of past auctions like the Greener 12gauge shotgun that sold for $2500, the 10 HP Economy that went for $4000, the Spool Cabinet for $1100 or the time we picked a painting out of a trash box in the basement and sold it for $700. As you can see our auction company is equipped to take on any merchandise.
